Our Process
We’re proud to have perfected our process around the All-On-X procedure to give our patients the best possible experience. From holistic approaches to superior patient support, our thoughtful approach makes all the difference since we prioritize patient comfort. Our timeline to getting you a new smile is different from many offices for many reasons, but one of the biggest differentiators is the streamlined process for our All-On-X procedure.
Consultation
The first part of the process is getting to know you and your goals for your smile. In the initial consultation, we go over everything you need to know before we start the process including what to expect from the procedure and the cost. We create a personalized treatment plan for you and give you a smile preview to help you visualize your new smile.
CT Scan
This is where we differ from many other offices offering similar services: as part of our initial consultation, we offer a CT scan of the jaw for a more accurate vision into what’s going on in your mouth. This allows us to have a baseline of what to expect and confirm if you’re a candidate for an All-On-X procedure (most people are candidates even if they’ve been turned away before).
Personalized Teeth Selection
It’s crucial that you’re comfortable with the teeth you choose as they’ll impact your everyday life moving forward. There’s many options when it comes to choosing your teeth for your forever smile: You can choose the size, shape and even the color. We take the time to ensure you’re happy with your selection, and adjustments can be made between the temporary teeth and the permanent zirconia teeth.
Same-Day Temporary Teeth Placement
Then it’s time for surgery! During the surgery, any remaining teeth are removed, four to six implants are placed on the top and bottom, and a temporary set of teeth is 3D printed and screwed into place on the same day. Patients wear these temporary teeth for about four months to allow the natural bone to adhere to the implants. The temporary teeth are screwed in and do not cover the roof of the mouth.
Four-Month Healing Period
After surgery, it’s four months with the temporary teeth as you heal. It’s very important to give yourself time to heal to allow the natural bone to adhere to the implants. Taking it easy during this time is important to prevent implant failure so be sure to follow all instructions for after care from our team.
Your Final Lifetime-Warranty Zirconia Teeth
Your final teeth are made from zirconia, which comes with a lifetime warranty and is durable enough for patients to eat anything they want. You’ll need to go to dentist appointments regularly and have dental cleanings to maintain the warranty. Your dentist is also your first line of support for your new teeth. They’ll be able to check in with you and refer you to us for any concerns you might have.
